Zero Balancing®

Zero Balancing® (ZB) is a powerful body-mind therapy that uses skilled touch to address the relationships between energy and structures within the body. Following a protocol that typically lasts 30 – 45 minutes, the practitioner utilizes finger pressure and gentle traction on the bones and joints to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize.

Frequently Asked Questions About ZB® Sessions

  • A ZB session is designed to establish a sense of safety and connection — both within yourself and with your practitioner. Creating a space where you feel truly at ease is the foundation of the work, allowing for deeper relaxation and personal growth.

  • Your session begins with a heartfelt conversation about your current state of health and what you hope to experience — whether that's releasing tension, restoring energy, improving sleep, finding relief from stress, or simply reconnecting with yourself.

  • Your therapist will gently guide you through what to expect, taking time to answer any questions and ensure you feel emotionally and physically safe every step of the way. ZB is quite different from a typical massage therapy session — it works at a deeper level, and many people find it to be a meaningful part of their personal healing journey.

  • You remain fully clothed and lie on your back on a massage table. Staying dressed is an intentional part of creating comfort and ease, so you can fully let go without any worry. If you're wearing sandals or a sleeveless top, your therapist will provide socks and a T-shirt so you feel comfortable and your therapist can provide touch through clothing.

  • Your practitioner gently assesses where your body may be holding tension in the bones and joints — often places where stress and emotion can quietly accumulate over time. Through soft finger pressure or traction along the spine, ribs, hips, feet, and neck, the work invites your body to release what it no longer needs to carry. No creams or oils are used.

  • Session length is 60-minutes door to door, but the time on the table is based on what your system needs at that moment, not too much and not too little.

Sometimes you might be on the table 20 minutes, sometimes 45 minutes, just enough time to drop into a meaningful state of rest and restoration.

You will feel just as good as, or better, than a typical massage session.

  • Your practitioner will offer you a quiet moment to rest and return to yourself, before gently inviting you to walk — giving you the opportunity to notice any shifts, insights, or sense of ease that may have emerged during the session.

  • ZB often guides you into a deeply peaceful, meditative state. Walking afterward helps you slowly and mindfully transition back into your day, carrying that sense of inner calm with you.
